20 Weeks old!

Leo is twenty weeks old today! We started feeding him the rice cereal a couple weeks ago and well he's not that into it! He just laughs at us and pretty much says "where's my bottle!?" but he has to start somewhere! We might be adventuresome and start baby food here pretty soon, but we will see!
whats this!?

Gross!!!
yea right Mom!

It's been a couple weeks since we went to the doctor but measured at 25 1/2 inches long at 14.8 pounds! He was so cute at the doctors office (before his shots) I had to take pictures!

This isn't so bad
No one told me about shots!?

Growing So Fast!

I look at Leo and can't believe he is almost 5 months already! Things are getting easier and the days are filled with much more fun and playing vs crying and feeding. One of the main reasons I started this blog is because I want to be able to remember all the little details. He was born in March and the next thing I knew it was July and the first few weeks are such a blur of staying in pj's all day feeding Leo like every hour and living off of turkey and cheese sandwiches and frozen pizzas! lol

Leo became the little traveler in his first few months! We drove home almost every other weekend, Leo had to see all his family on a reg basis of course! I actually drove home for the first time with him by myself last weekend and was so proud because I only pulled over once to check on him! go me :) I can't believe next year when we move back and we are done driving back and forth Leo should be walking!!

such a good traveler!

He didn't cry at all!
Happy Godparents!
Leo's Baptism was such a blessing,I really couldn't have asked for a better day. I was grateful for so many people to take the time to be apart of it! Here are a few pictures of the joyous occasion! BTW the day of his baptism was the day of his first social smile(and of course it was at mama!)

 First Smile on Camera!

The Summer has been great except for the heat! I am glad I had him in the Spring, I would hate to be pregnant in this weather! Leo loves to swim and Mike and I were surprised that we went to the pool more often with an infant then we did ever before! Leo starting rolling over in July, he could get to his side sometime in June but he would just stay there. Then one day he figured out how to move that arm and he's been Mr. Roly Poly ever since! We stayed a week with my five younger cousins over the 4th of July and my cousin Noelle decided she would be Leo's "rolling coach" it was really cute!

Leo Must have been ready for a nap!

 Happy 4th!

 Swimming with Mom and Dad!

So I kind of crammed the Spring and Summer in this one post! I should have started this blog while I was pregnant! (so many things to share!) but I hope you enjoyed the pictures!

Friday {the 13th}

yummy!
Typically I really don't buy into the bad luck of Friday the 13th BUT last Friday I almost did! Leo and I went to work in the morning (pretty slow day at work) so Leo was very grumpy! I was so glad when we got home because I thought I could get him down for a nap while I enjoyed watching Days of Our Lives (silly me!) He was even more grumpy when we got home! Well thank goodness Mike came home early that day because we really needed to get out of the house and drive around! So off we go to Hyvee because they were celebrating their year anniversary in Manhattan and one of the deals was Pepsi 2 liter products for 69 cents! (how could I pass it up!?) We got there thinking we would split a dinner meal but realized they were handing out so many samples it would be silly to actually pay for dinner! We had our cheese and crackers, steak and mushroom samples while getting my cheap pop and the power went out! We look outside and you would have thought a Tornado was right in the parking lot from the damage we saw! So everyone rushed to the back of the store for shelter. Growing up in Kansas I have never once really been scared of tornado's or storms well that is until I had Leo, my heart was racing so fast! of course everyone makes it sound worse then it really is and we were stuck in the Hyvee coolers for about 45 min (luckily a nice hyvee employee gave us a jacket to wrap Leo in so he wouldn't be cold). It turned out only to be a severe 90 mph wind storm causing alot of damage to trees and signs but no real harm. We got home (without out Pepsi) and realized we had no power so off to the Vet school we went where the 3 of us sat and watched Psych on Mike's computer in a lecture hall with pizza and Dr. Pepper yummy! I was happy to spend all this quality time together since Mike has been so busy, SO it turned out unlucky Friday the 13th was my lucky day because I got to spend a nice eventful evening with my little family whom I love so much ♥
So Much Fun!

Going to Work with Mama

looking cute in his cloth diaper!

Here is a picture of him strutting his stuff!

Leo goes to work with me everyday and for the most part he loves it! I work at a store called healthy baby, it is a very green organic baby store. We sell cloth diapers, wooden toys and clothes made out of all organic material. Now if you would have asked me 2 years ago if I planned on using cloth diapers on my babies I would have looked at you like you were an insane person! BUT it turns out I LOVE it! Surprisingly I have also been able to keep with the laundry! We are saving a ton of money and being green and fashionable at the same time, could it get any better!? lol

The Beginning

"young love"
Now that Mike and I are starting a family I feel that there are so many things to be shared! It all started in 2002 when Mike and I met and began dating, wow how time flies!

Mr. Leo 1 day old!
We married last September (2009) and our son was born in March of this year.
Now Leo is 4 1/2 months old! Rolling over, talking all the time(well more like jibber jabber but its cute!) and the center of Mike and I's universe!
While Mike works hard at school I spend my days with Leo. I am lucky enough that he comes to work with me. Everyday is an adventure that's for sure! Well this an intro stay tuned for future posts!
