Easter Bunny? Nah...

Leo wanted nothing to do with taking pictures with the Easter bunny! Last year he was only 4 days old so we didn't dare enter him to the germ fest of the Easter bunnies arms...this year I thought oh he is such a happy baby this will be easy! WRONG. He wouldn't even sit long enough to take the picture...oh well there is always next year!
Waiting in Line....that is the only picture I got

A new habit...

Leo loves shutting doors! He has learned quickly about shutting his fingers in doors also...it only took once and he remembers not to keep his hand on the door long!

He loves looking outside

Then he lets me know that he is going to shut the door

Watch out for those fingers!

Yey!

Bottle Weaning...

Getting Leo off the bottle has not been as bad as imagined! Last week we took away all his day bottles and gave him sippy cups and then he still is having his bottle before bed but that feeding doesn't put him  to sleep anymore so next week that bottle will disappear too. I thought I would have a bigger fight from from him but it has been super easy! We have been giving him sippy cups for months now so that the transition would be easier. Oh my he is turning into such a little toddler!

so proud!
Tooth number 4 has emerged! I noticed it this afternoon along with his bad attitude but not worries his bad mood did not last long! so now he has two on bottom and two on top! Leo like's to take his time on things especially his teeth so I think it will be awhile before we see anymore but we will see!
He was very happy to go for a car ride!
A new favorite snack of Mr. Leo's is raisins! He gobbles them up like crazy. His teething has given him a very lacking appetite so I have had to try some new things to get him to have a full tummy so he has been eating alot of raisins, melon, mac n cheese and gold fish. Not the perfect diet but it will do for now.
still squinty

This boy needs a haircut!!

Tulips

The picture I had in mind while driving to the festival...
Sunday we went as a family to the Wamego Tulip festival...sounds pretty doesn't it? Oh and the tulips were very pretty. I had in mind of getting all these excellent photos of Leo surrounded by tulips. What I didn't expect was that the tulips would be surrounded by a billion natty bugs! So we kept our distance and enjoyed the view from afar. We still had fun eating, playing and enjoying all the different booths that were set up. Mike has been VERY busy lately and so I enjoyed our quality family time before he headed off to school for another 24 hours. Can't wait for Graduation!

Enjoying life on the tracks

We hardly ever get these photos anymore!

Leo was very impressed

"No mom I am too old for kisses" "What!?"

Sunday Thoughts

I can't tell you how much I love this song, I heard it today while I was driving home and I was looking back at Leo and I got sad for a minute because I thought how he won't ever get to meet my grandma. BUT then I realized how lucky he is that he is going to be surrounded by so many others! Both sets of his grandparents are a part of his life and my Granddad simply adores him along with so many other members of my family. I hope that both Leo and Lily grow up knowing how much everyone loves them and special it is to have so many close family members in their daily lives!

Radio Flyer

I think we are going to need to invest in one of these...Leo loves this wagon!
So much fun!

He wanted back in...

Latest Happenings

Leo can not only walk by himself but now he can pull himself up standing without any help! He at first did not enjoy walking barefoot in the grass but soon got over it, he still isn't wild about the feel of concrete on his knees and feet but hey who is!?
Step One: I don't Know about this stuff...

Step Two: You mean I have to stand up on my own!?

Step Three: OK!

Then he had to go tell his Dad about it...touching as little of the concrete as possible
Lily is quite the mover and shaker! I have been feeling very active movements from her for a few weeks now! Starting yesterday her kicks and punches were strong enough to be felt outside the womb! I used to have to sit and wait for Leo to move around so there were times I was worried he wasn't doing ok but not with her!! I I have a feeling that she is going to give me alot of fun this summer with all her bouncing around.

Easter is a week away! I can't believe how fast lent went by this year. My resolution of getting rid of things kept me going strong but I was running out of things to give away LOL so I gave up watching Days of Our Lives! I honestly thought it was going to be harder then it has been...

So Behind!!
I took this picture today of Leo. He decided to get all the trash bags out of the cabinet....AFTER breaking the child lock...I thought they were suppose to be harder to break than that....guess not!

Doctor's Appointments and Teething

One Year

Weight: 20 lbs 13 oz
Height: 30 1/2 inches
One Year of great check-ups! Leo is still long and skinny only in the 9% for weight but I just keep telling myself it's because most American babies are overweight. lol We switched over to our family doctor in Wichita and Leo did fine with the adjustment he spent the the entire appointment smiling and taking everything in, such a curious child.

Teething

Does not bring out the best in Leo! Back in December I don't remember having any trouble when he got his bottom two teeth but WOW these top ones turned him into a diff baby! I truly felt so bad for him, you could tell he was in pain. SO after alot of Orajel, Tylenol and many hugs and kisses they finally broke through thank goodness!

Not the best picture...You can't even see the new teeth but He is showing you!

Leo's Birthday!...Two weeks later

UH...Where to start!? I CAN'T believe I am this behind on blogging about his birthday!!! We have had such a crazy month! Leo is such an amazing little boy, I can't get enough of him! He is walking like crazy now still somewhat like a zombie or Frankenstein like but none the less he is walking around everywhere! His birthday parties were a success yes he had two parties He sucked up his cake frosting like there was no tomorrow!

Party Number One: Hosted by My Granddad
My attempt at cake decorating

I love photos of the parents blowing out the birthday candles

Really Leo!?

Haley's face is priceless!

What a wonderful gift!
Party Number Two: Pizza Hut Fun

Cupcakes were much easier!

He had to sit in the bumbo...

He loved all his new gifts!

I was surprised he kept the party hat on

Party Guests

On Leo's actual birthday we spent lunch as a family and he played with his cousin Brenden over at Grandma Julie's. Of course My Granddad had to buy him cupcakes because it's pretty much tradition in my family that you have to eat cake on your actual birthday! I swear Leo has cake and frosting 5 times the week of his birthday!

Eating lunch with Dad

A  Picture at 3:18 (the time of his birth)

Oh my!

The boys were ridiculous with the frosting!

Busy Bee

We have been spending time in Wichita and have been so busy! I am ashamed that I didn't even blog on Leo's birthday! I am going to sit and update everyone on our recent happenings but I am going to be honest and that I most likely won't happen until later this week. SO I am going to post some pictures of the past couple weeks to satisfy your curiosity!
