The things I always forget to mention

Leo has his own language I am pretty sure because he walks around talking like we should know exactly what he is saying but all we hear is "duck duck duck" or "tick tick tick" he can also say "daddy" instead of just "dada". He also has started pointing at the things he wants and also recognizes words like milk, bath and doggy. He has changed so much since his birthday he is a full fledged toddler now!

He is also obsessed with our cats, he is always hugging on them or chasing after them with a cat toy. Mike and I will usually hiss at the cats if they look like they are going to scratch Leo and from this Leo thinks to get the cats attention you must hiss at them, he doesn't realize it does the opposite effect and the cats usually end up running away from him. He just loves them so much!

This photo is from my phone so its blurry but it shows how he loves Jenkins!
Also a new habit baby boy has started is throwing himself on the floor when he is upset. It's become quite his thing. When we tell him "no" or take something away he isn't suppose to have he just looks at you sometimes cries and just plops himself down right there. We will see how long this lasts.

Evidence of this new found pouting.
I feel like I have already started neglecting our daughter! I have barely mentioned her on this blog and I am 8 months pregnant! We had an ultrasound last week and everything looked normal and I will start seeing the doctor every two weeks now, time fly's! They guessed she was 3 lbs and that I was measuring about a week ahead so maybe that means she will come early!? we will see!

She already looks so grown up!

Stretching those feet!
For the most part we are settled into our new home. We still have pictures to hang and the basement still needs work on organizing but it's becoming home. Mike starts his job tomorrow and we are very excited for Dr. Walsh and his new career! I just finished washing his work uniforms and everything, I might even pack him a lunch! haha He will think it is silly but I am taking a picture of him in the morning before he leaves just like I would if it was my child's first day of school, he will love it.

Speaking of Mike's new career...He got the "lets get a new dog" bug and last week we became owners of a huge white German Shepard/lab mix that is 16 months old. His former owners named him Marley but we decided to name him "Bob" another one of Leo's words. So his full name is Bob Marley. He is a good dog, extremely goofy and needs training but he will fit in quite nicely with the Walsh family. I can't believe by the end of the summer we will have two children, two dogs, and two cats! We are CRAZY.

First Big Boy Injury

Leo had his first real injury today, the more adventuresome he gets the more injuries will appear I am just not ready for them! Boys will be boys I guess. He was riding his his red wagon and decided to get our prematurely and landed his head right on the concrete. OUCH. I will be interested what it looks like in the morning but this is what it looked like tonight. BAD...kisses and Tylenol helped a little I hope.

My poor baby boo-boo with his first boo-boo
On a happier note...Leo has been spending alot of time with his best friend and cousin Brenden because Steve and Amanda are in Colorado this week enjoying time off!

Earlier in the day we had lunch outside..June was jealous

Leo can drink out of a straw now! Such a big boy!

This morning...pre-injury!
Baby boy is asleep now and I am hoping his head isn't hurting him too much. I have to keep stopping myself from checking on him every five minutes. Paranoid Mama syndrome.

Second Mother's Day

Mother's Day is so precious. We didn't so much but it's fun to have a day set aside to cherish just being a Mom. The best job in the world.

My Card's From Mike and Leo...can you tell which one is from Mike?

Eating Brunch

Happy Mother's Day!

Leo I guess was too busy to take a picture with Grandma but he still loves her!

Graduating, Moving and Everything Else!

The past two weeks have been insane! We celebrated Mike's graduation from the Veterinary College and moved back home! Leo has been a champ through out all the changes and is adjusting pretty well considering we have been on the go like crazy! I am so happy to be back around family and friends but I must admit I will miss Manhattan also. Even though Mike and I dated in high-school our lives together really started in Manhattan and I will always cherish our time in the Little Apple!

Us 7 Years ago when Mike left for K-State
Look how we have changed! Oh my

Our Family at Graduation!
Moving day(s) were fun! of course it landed that our loading and unloading days were on the two hottest days of the month which also were record breaking temp days! With the help of our friend Connor we were able to move everything in one day and Mike had an entire week to paint/clean our townhouse before our move out inspection. I am so happy to be moving into a house! We won't have to deal with parking lots or nosy neighbors anymore!

so tired!

our life in one room

so much to unpack!
Since Mike had to go back to Manhattan for a few days after Graduation to finish cleaning and go through our final inspection Leo and I had a couple days on our own to get use to the new house. Leo was a big help getting everything organized with me.

Worn out!
So now our lives can somewhat get back to normal! Mike starts work in about a week and half so we still have a little time to enjoy family time and get the house unpacked and organized, wish us luck!

First Haircut

Leo had his first haircut today! It might have been too soon but his hair was getting a little too tangled to deal with lately. He did very well as long as he was sitting in my lap, not even any tears!

Happy boy eating his lunch afterwards!

Congratulations!

Mike was offered a position as one of the veterinarian's out in Derby and we are soooooo happy! He will be working with 3 other veterinarian's and from I hear the clinic is a very busy one. Good for experience! We have been getting ready for his graduation coming up and I know he is ready to start his new journey! He will be starting work right after memorial day. We are so proud of him!

We Love you!

Celebrating Easter

Leo was much better at hunting eggs than sitting on the Easter bunnies lap! I wasn't sure what kind of egg hunt he was going to have and he ended up having two! He had a blast shaking the eggs and eating M&M's.

Family Picture!
We had many family festivities that weekend, Leo was worn out! We originally thought Mike was going to have to stay and work at school but it turned out he was able to come to Wichita and join in on the holiday which I was very grateful for! Happy Easter Season!
