Today is Leo's Birthday

Our sweet little boy turned 2 today! This birthday has been more emotional for me this year, he has grown so much! He is a ball of energy with a mind of his own. Growing and changing everyday Leo is now repeating almost every word he hears and forming sentences! He loves to dress (and undress) himself and pick out his own outfits. He can take of his own shoes and put most pairs on himself as long as they don't have laces. He loves going the park and playing outside! I actually have a slight sunburn from all our outdoor activities and it's only March!

Cute Thing's I want to Remember

• When he wants you to carry him he will reach his arms in the air and say "care care"
• He loves popcorn! We have it almost every night while we watch Conan O'Brien...which he will ask for after his bath "Con-nan?"
• Even though he can say "lily" now he still calls her "E" which is adorable.
• He has been calling Mike "DaddyMike"
• He loves to tell the dogs to "sit" and then throw food at them! 
• He calls Grandma and Grandpa (both sets) Mam-maw and Pap-pa, which he decided all on his own.

Potty training is progressing slowly but he tells you (very often) that he wants his diaper changed in which he will lay down on the floor (doesn't matter where he is at) and get the "changing position" saying "diaper poop"

I can't describe how much I love this little boy! Watching him grow is the biggest blessing a mother can have and I am grateful everyday that I am with him. He is becoming so much of a "little boy" and not so much a "baby" anymore and it is a bittersweet feeling. I hope he reads this someday and knows how much he means to his Dad and I.

Spring Is In The Air!

What gorgeous weather we have been having! The trees have started to bloom this week and the weather temps are amazing! We have taken advantage of this wonderful weather and have been playing outside a-lot! Leo's new word is "park" and thanks to "little tikes" Leo has some great outside toys this summer. Lily also has her first pair of sunglasses that are just absolutely fabulous on her.

Leo loves playing in our backyard regardless that we have zero grass! He drives his car and Lion "ion", swings and slides for hours! He will say "honk honk" or "beep beep" when are in his way while driving, so look out pedestrians!

 Mike loves to dress Lily up as fancy as possible so here she is showing of her pretty outfit on your average Wednesday! She finally fits into shoes also...7 months old and just got into newborn/size 1 shoe, so little!

 I have been letting Lily suck on different fruits while I feed Leo is lunch/snack. She reacts so funny to tart/sour things by blinking crazy and whipping her face back...she loved this cantaloupe and as you can see little Leo hands aren't too far away claiming what he thinks is his!

At The Park

These boys could not love airplanes more! Leo will drop everything when he hears an airplane above and point up to the sky yelling "airpane" airpane" so of course they were love with these at the park!

Lily is almost sitting on her own, she still needs something behind her to support her but she has really worked on not falling over and falling flat on her face! She is showing off her new khaki Capri's!

When Mike gets home Leo loves to take evening walks now!

 Wheeee..... is what he calls this swing in our back yard..he will run up to it and point going "whee" "whee" I guess I have said whee to many times while swinging him instead of calling is a swing!

New Bath Toy

Fortunately Leo is in a stage where he loves taking baths! He would take one 3 times a day if I would let him. To fuel his excitement we bought him a Thomas the Train bath toy set that he just loves! Now I can't get him out of the tub...what did I get myself into!?

Had to take it with him to get out of the bath!

Our Little Lily

Lily turned 7 months old yesterday! She is a very social little baby, loves to talk and laugh and is starting to figure out the mechanics on getting herself places. She also has learned when Mommy and Daddy aren't as close to her as she wants and we are beginning the early stages of separation, ugh. It just makes us feel even more loved!

 Her hair is starting to grow in and some days it will stick straight up, but that's why we have so many bows! She still loves her hands and has become very attached to her thumb. Lily can entertain herself for a little bit but she does get impatient, she will let you know that she needs you by grunting and and doing a long steady whine...she never gets too loud but she sure lets you know when she isn't pleased.

 We are learning to sit! She is getting better and better at each day. She can sit on her own on beds or soft blankets with out tipping over but if you sit her on a hard surface she sure does fall right over! She also does what Leo was always notorious for doing and that is arching their back and flipping backwards which of course ends in them hitting their heads! I guess that is how the learn!

 She is very much a talker and she laughs at funny faces, silly sounds and of course Leo! She is such a sweet girl she melts my heart everyday! She has found out the fun world of playing with toys and we are having fun watching her develop with all her new interests! I can't wait to get all the doll houses and dolls with tea parties, I am probably more excited then she is at this point!

Here she is helping me in the kitchen "deciding" what we should cook for dinner!

 Her favorite song right now is "I'm a little teapot" She could be crying her lungs out and I could start singing the song and she will gasp with excitement kick her legs and and smile real big! So of course we sing the song a bajillion times a day :)

 Her sleep schedule has become much more consistent thanks to oatmeal before bed She goes to bed usually around 8pm and will sleep pretty comfortably until about 4 where she has a small bottle I know I know I need to stop giving into her! Her wake up time is at the fun hour of 7am and we start our day with taking and kicking our legs!

 We started her on solids this past month and don't let the pictures fool you SHE HATED IT practice makes perfect! She has started squash and mixed grains and oatmeal, she only likes the oatmeal. I hope we don't have a picky eater on our hands!

Overall Lily is a wonderfully happy baby girl and I love watching her grow! These next few months are my favorite where they really start to form their own personalities and watching Leo and Lily become so close is truly such a blessing!
