A Family of Four

Time is flying by! It has almost been two weeks since Lily was born and we sure have been busy. Leo is adjusting really well considering how young he still is. He loves to "tickle" her feet and give kisses. We are working on his excitement around her though, he gets a little too excited and starts waving his arms around and we have had a few accidents of smacking Lily...but he just loves her so much he just can't contain it. lol Lily is still in that newborn stage where they sleep 99% of the time, this time around I have learned that you can't just hold your perfect little newborn baby 24/7 and how important it is to lay them down. It is very tempting though to just sit and hold her but with Mr. Leo that just isn't possible, he keeps us busy!

First night home!

Pretty Girl!

Along with everything else going on in our lives we decide to buy a van the weekend after Lily is born. Our timing is perfect I know. We got an incredible deal on a Mazda mpv, we weren't sure if we ready to be a mini van owner yet but in the end we decided it was for the best and we are very happy with our purchase!

Here it is in all it's glory!

Lily went in to the doctor for her week appointment and passed with flying colors! she is over her birth weight and healthy as can be! She is a great little eater so she never really lost any weight like most babies do after birth. I was surprised because Leo lost almost an entire pound after he was born, every child is so different!
She wasn't really sure what to think

Leo had to make sure everything was going smoothly
Well things have been crazy around here and we are still trying to figure out a routine but I will try to keep you all updated on what is going on! They seem to grow so fast the next thing I know Lily will be running around trying to keep of with Leo!

Miss Lillian Irene Walsh

Our beautiful baby girl was born yesterday afternoon at 2:42pm! Lillian Irene weighed 6 lbs 10 oz and 19 in long, she is much smaller then we expected! Labor and delivery went very smoothly. I had a few hours of hard labor but once I had my epidural we were smooth sailing. I was already dilated at 3.5 when we checked into the hospital so I knew my contractions that I had been having these past few weeks were doing something!

Lily came out with just four pushes and she was a very calm baby from the start. She has been a very good eater and sleeper, but we will see if that continues once we get home! Leo met her last night and it seemed like he was not interested at all but that is because he had too many new things surrounding him at the hospital...we will see what he is like once we get home and he realizes she is staying with us for good! I think he will be a great big brother and I am so excited to see how the two of them grow together!

Bringing a child into the world is always so precious to me, it is such an amazing thing to do! The emotions that come over you when you see your child for the first time are indescribable and the experience with both with Leo and Lily made me feel so blessed! Being a wife and mother to me is my greatest accomplishment and I hope my husband and children know how much I love them and how blessed I feel to be able to have made this family with Mike. It is a priceless feeling! Can you tell my emotions are on high!?

Leaving for the hospital!

This was taken right as a painful contraction was starting...really!

Stroller Obsession

So I was uploading all of our recent pictures of Leo and I came to the realization that this boy is obsessed with his umbrella stroller! He gets it out every time he wants to go outside and I  have several pictures to prove it!

He knows I must have my sunglasses!

Don't worry he isn't always tortured inside, It has been a "cooler" 95 degrees
so we have been playing outside the last few days!
