Grateful

Lily has been very busy lately she has been getting teeth in left and right (just as I predicted would happen around 15 months) and now she is FINALLY a crawler! I truly believe she was able to do months ago but why would she have to when she has big brother Leo fetching her all her toys? She is now on the move all of her waking hours so it is time to baby proof the house again even though with how adventuresome Leo is we have our house pretty "proofed" already. The fastest I saw her crawl was yesterday when I started Leo's bath, she was in the living room and the next thing I knew she was pulling up on the tub!

She saw something she wanted...

So she was off to get it!

Speaking of baths Leo is very independent and has to do all his washing himself ( or so he thinks) including his hair, I tell him to rinse out his hair and he always ends up splashing water just in his face! I laughed a little and he must have liked the attention because he kept doing it over and over laughing at himself splashing water up his noise and his mouth over and over, silly boy!

Leo has really become such a little man lately, he amazes me with how clearly he is speaking (and repeating) and all the things he is learning. He is OBSESSED with trains still and still announces to the entire house when he hears one "Hear that whistle!" he says running around the house. Playing outside has been a dream the last month or so with the fall weather rolling in and we have enjoyed many evenings on the porch while he plays around with his soccer ball, car or whatever he finds interesting...like this poor squirrel that is always nut hunting by our trees.

Even super hero's play soccer...

Lily wakes up every morning saying "UM" I am not sure if she is telling me she is hungry by trying to say "yum" or if she is like "UM Mom come in here and get me!" but it so funny to hear her from afar muttering "um, um, um, mom"

Bedtime has become easier since we set a time for them to go to sleep (at the same time) we use to put Lily to sleep and then put  Leo to sleep later but it was just interrupting Lily sleeping and we would have to start the whole process over. So now they just have to suffer it together which usually ends up with Leo in Lily's crib telling her "shh it's alright" and think just a year ago we couldn't keep him in his crib! Some night's he must be too tired to console her because I will hear him "Lily crying, come get her!" They are really cute together when they fall asleep side by side though.

When Lily wakes up in the morning or from a nap Leo always says "Good morning Lily!"
Pulling up!

Such a wonderful smile!

Eating dinner before Daddy got home

"Shrek" and "Puss in Boots" is still played on a daily basis, they are good to pop on to put him down for a nap!

When it starts to get dark right before Mike get's off work Leo will come to tell me "Sit on porch and wait for Daddy" so he goes outside and sits and waits for Mike to walk over from work, adorable.

We have really needed to tell Leo to stop sneaking June food, I swear she is eating like 5 meals a day. I have started to tune in to when He is about to feed her because I hear "Dune come get it, right here" and I then find him pointing to his dropped food in the kitchen. She eats it right up!

One of my favorite pictures right now

Smelling a leaf!

Leo also thinks every grocery store is called "Dillons" since that is where we go most often but the other day we were walking into Walmart and he felt like shouting to everyone that he was at Dillons getting a donut. Well he did get a donut so he was right about that, haha.

I am really enjoying this time lately with Leo and Lily they are becoming more and more playmates and Leo is growing so fast and I am very grateful I get to be at home with them and see it all happen!

He was running away laughing when I took this picture..
he thought he was so funny putting the basket on her head!
