Fathers Day and Jeeves

We made Mike a Heroes box of treats for Fathers Day. We made it while he was working Saturday morning and Leo was so excited to show him that when he came home at noon Leo was giddy with excitement jumping up and down "Look Daddy, Look here, Look what I made you..." while he is patting the box "You want to see!?"

"Oh my what do we have in here!?"

Monday Mike brought home a kitten that needed to be adopted...well lets just say Leo fell in love so Mike got another fathers day gift of a new kitten that he named Jeeves!

Leo: "Jeeves loves me"

No turning back after that smile!

Lily was like "oh wow a new toy!"

Until he scratched her...

Oh My Leo

I hear "uh oh!" "I didn't do it" "I so need your help!" as something is breaking...

After changing him if he has had an accident it is always "I'm gonna be naked for awhile" (whimpering)

I asked Leo what he would like to watch and his response "I don't know partner!"

He was playing with his dump truck, fell and hit his knee, ran over to me very sad "I can never race again..."

My ninja turtle

"Oh isn't this the life!?"

Trying to hug his sister...

Always "hiding"

This is his party ball! (it lights up when he bounces it)

One day some of his fruit snacks melted and He looks up at me "something is wrong here..."

I asked him if he needed to go to the potty chair "No mom,  my potty is all out of me already"

We have had a running issue in stores lately and when I explained that someone could pick him up and I would never see him again he simply replied "don't worry mom  I will just ROAR at them" oh kids logic...

I bought milk on special last week and when Leo opened the fridge he yells "Look mom our milk had babies!!"

Morning with Lily

Leo had another sleepover with Brenden but this time at Grandma and Grandpas so this morning Lily and I had the morning to ourselves! We went to target, ate breakfast, picked out my clothes for our Colorado trip next week and now she is napping from all our adventures!

We almost have ALL our teeth!

I was thinking of taking her swimming before we pick up Leo  but I think Lily just likes being in her swim suit, she still isn't big on cold water swimming but our little kiddie pool suits her just fine! What can I say she is a little princess :)

Look at that belly!

Summer Sleepovers

Mikes brother is out of town for work so we have had Brenden over a couple times this past week to give Amanda a little break, the boys always have fun and now Lily has really started chiming in on the playtime (if they let her)
Watching Brave

Lily wasn't too excited about the boys taking over her castle so she just went straight for my purse to play with instead. She loves getting into my wallet and play with my keys and sunglasses. Already acting like a teenager.

Drink break!

Lily is really into mac n cheese right now, she gobbles it up in no time. Leo has been playing ball A LOT, I really should sign him up for some summer sports...

She still gets into the cabinets and likes to take out all the glassware.

Leo: "Lets take off all the cushions and jump on them!"
Lily "I think I will just eat these cheerios I found in the couch..."
Me: "oh my"

He invented strawberry fingers!

Taking pictures with Mom

We were slightly bored this afternoon...

Told her to give kisses...she just blew kisses instead.

Lily was too bust for us.

Sad because he wanted to take the picture!

Parent Fail: Burnt Leg

There is a first for everything and a couple weeks ago was my first ever of leaving my poor baby unattended (for mere seconds) and she ended up burning her leg on my straightener. It was awful, everything that day was  terrible. Our AC went out, dinner was burning, Leo was cranky and my hair was crazy from the humidity.

I forgot I plugged it in and I ran into the kitchen because our dinner started to burn, Lily was in the living room but decided to crawl into the bathroom while I was in the kitchen . Here comes the burn part. I hear Leo yelling twinkle twinkle little star as Lily screams so I ran into the bathroom found out what happened, freak out, call Mike and run over to the clinic with a screaming baby (with Leo singing the entire way) It seemed very bad at the time since our AC was out and we were all sweating but after we put a bandage and cream on she had some milk and she was really ok. Baths the next week were a pain in the butt but it healed pretty quickly and it didn't stop her from being her little curious self. I just have been reminded how we need to baby proof more and I can't take my eyes off of them for a minute, or leave hot things plugged in!

Poor girl

It didn't stop her from her normal adventuring.

Still always happy!

All the fun things we do

So time to recap my kids lives for the past two months since I have seem to forgot to write on this blog. The nice weather has defiantly kept us outdoors the past month or so and we are really enjoying this mild heat instead of the 100 degree summer weather Leo has known his entire little life.

Last week I took them to the zoo (for the first time by myself!!) and it was actually very pleasant, we went early in the morning when the animals are friendly (and hungry) so the kids were able to see a lot of them up close which is always fun!

"roaring" like we all know he can do!

He is very big into maps (thanks Dora!)

She was clapping at the tiger, she must have thought he was doing a good job at growling.

First  Outdoor Swim 2013

Saturday while Mike and Leo took a much needed nap I decided to take Leo swimming so that I could see if I could handle taking both kids swimming on my own this summer. WELL oh my I am glad we did that without Lily! The boy has no fear! He went straight for the 4 foot deep and was about to jump in !!! We had to talk about what areas of the pool were off limits and once that was settled he was better, but still very excited, I can't blame him the pool is an awesome place but I for sure will need company when going to the pool or poor Lily will be stuck sitting on her towel alone because I will be chasing Leo around saving his life from drowning.

When you asked him about swimming he would say that him and his boat had so much fun.

Dinosaur Exhibit

Exploration place opened a dinosaur exhibit last week that we took the boys to. I thought they would be so excited to see "real " dinosaurs but exploration place did such a good job on presentation that the boys were TERRIFIED, Leo really thought they all were real and that they were going to gobble him up for lunch, eventually they realized that it was all for show and they had fun playing with fossils and looking at all the different kinds of dinosaurs.
