The other day I was changing Leo's diaper and let's be honest the boy never stays still long enough for me to change is diaper without wanting to pull my hair out...so to distract him I say "lets count to ten" and I will count while I change him and he usually will lay still long enough to snap that last button. I have been doing this for several months now and the other day he started to repeat the numbers to me! I was so proud of him it literally took my breath away. He is really good about remember that 5 comes after 4 and he says 8 and 9 very clearly! Such a smarty pants already. :)

Girls Night!
Saturday I went out on a much needed ladies night with some girlfriends I use to work with at Kohl's. It was a blast I really needed to relax and have fun. We went to Old Chicago yum! Then ended up at this ridiculously scary bar that we quickly left and just ended up at one of my friend's house drinking Sangria and talking. Simple but Great! I miss seeing these girls and I also met some new friends also. We are going to be doing this monthly so I look forward to them all!

Lily's First Movie
We never tried this with Leo but the other night we actually took Lily to a movie! Leo was having a sleep over with Brenden and Mike has been wanting to see The Girl with Dragon Tattoo. Good thing Lily is a baby..highly inappropriate move for her but she slept through the entire movie anyway! The movie was over 2 1/2 hours long too! Maybe she can go with us to Titanic 3D in April!?

Racing Cars and Silly Habits
Leo's favorite activity for sure right now is anything to do with cars, trucks, anything with wheels really. He will line up all his toys that have wheels and motor them around the house making all the car sounds...vroom vroom or rrrrrrrrrrr will be heard around the house on a regular basis.
Leo is also beginning to form sentences which is really cute to watch him put all the words together. He uses "fix it" around a billion times a day. This includes putting his toys back together, velcroing his shoes back even unwrapping food means "fix it". "put away" is another favorite. He is pretty good about this when he is done with things, mainly his sippy cups and books. He is learning so much every day Mike and I have quickly realized our bad habits and how Leo picks up on them. Feeding the dogs is #1 on our bad list and Leo does it all the time! If Leo has food June is for sure not far behind. Leo loves to crawl into Lily's crib or play-yard with her, Lord help me! Mike sits on our kitchen counter tops sometimes while I am cooking to talk to me and now Leo thinks he needs to do that too. I correct our dogs sometimes at a to high of voice and now Leo yells at the dogs to "shush" or go "outside". Unfortunately he has picked up on biting his nails that is a habit that both Mike and I have so our children are kind of doomed in that department. He defiantly pushes us to improve ourselves on a daily basis.

June loves cheese-its
Leo feels the need to sit as close to Lily as possible, cute actually.
They look out the window together again since I took down the Christmas tree.
Little stinker can get in the fridge now all on his own!
Took his diaper off and crawled on his dresser.
He crawled in and told me "night night"...until I started to walk out of the room. lol
Climbs into his toy chest on a daily basis to read.
This Little Boy sure keeps me busy but I enjoy every minute of it and he melts my heart everyday!

Merry Christmas...Finally
This post is way overdue but that is because importunately I was sicker then I have been ever starting Christmas night! I am just now getting this back on track it was nuts! The only time I have ever been even close to that ill is when I was pregnant which I am not, we even took a test! Christmas was unaffected by these sickness though and it actually was a really lovely laid back weekend.
Leo was so fun to watch this year because he understood the gift idea this time and showed excitement over everything. My favorite is when Mike opened a box of ties and Leo got so excited and put it on just like a pro!
Lily also had a fun time "opening" her gifts! Of course it was mainly me opening them for her and saying "oh Lily look at this!" she was full of smiles and coos though.
Christmas Eve
On Christmas Eve is when we celebrate with Mike's family and a tradition we have is to do a gingerbread house ,this year Mike wanted to make one for the dogs and the house turned out looking really good! The dogs demolished it in about .5 seconds.
After the fun of the dog gingerbread house we opened gifts and just enjoyed eachother's company. I can't tell you how much I enjoyed the holiday's this year! The boys were so cute "exchanging gifts" and reading under the tree!
Preparing for Santa
When we got home the babies were so tired but they played for a little bit after getting their Pjs on and while I was cooking Santa's cookies...Leo fell asleep before the cookies were done, haha!
Christmas Day
Leo didn't really understand why I was excited first thing in the morning until he realized that he was getting toys from under the tree! After he opened one gift he was all over opening the rest!
In the afternoon my family came home to celebrate the holiday and Leo had so much fun! He went from person to person opening gifts and playing with everything, even my kitchen utensils that I got from my mom.
Christmas Evening
So as you can tell my all the pictures we had a pretty eventful day! This year I am so thankful to be living close to family again and that we were able to wake up in our own home on Christmas morning! I am so grateful for my little family and all the joys that come along with them. Leo and Lily make me smile more and more each day! Mike is an amazing husband who works hard for us all and for that we were able to have a wonderful Christmas with happy memories! Happy Holidays!
