So much to Celebrate

It has been 2013 for a week now but they are making up for lack of partying last week, Leo likes his party whistles which is always followed by a "choo-choo" he must think all whistles are associated with trains?

Curious Minds

These pictures were actually taken back in November but I just around to editing them...they weren't in picture taking moods so I just took them as they were walking around the nature center, they turned out pretty special.

Daily Funny

I was putting away laundry in the kids room and looked over at them playing, I laughed to myself because they were playing perfectly content just with the other ones toy...don't mind Lily's crazy hair because about 30 minutes before she was passed out asleep in the clean clothes pile as shown below!

Weekend Getaway

Last weekend Mike and I went to Kansas City to visit a few friends for the weekend. The first night we went to this place called snow creek, it was a last minute thing that I found out about or I would have packed skiing/snowboarding gear  so while everyone else went out on the hill we just found our own fun in picture taking and having a few drinks at the bar, it was a lot of fun just enjoying time together.

Mike being his comedic self.

Our master skills at taking our own picture.

Having a few drinks while watching the other guys ski.
The next night we went down to westport and enjoyed going to a few different bars down there but it was CHILLY! It was also hard to really enjoy ourselves that night because Leo got sick at my moms and had a fever so I felt very guilty being so far away from him when He wasn't feeling well.

We don't get away on our own very much but it always seems that when we do we always end up talking about the babies and how much we miss them, how old are we!?
Our little bundles of Joy when we picked them up from Grandma's

Rocky

Mike brought home a bird from the clinic tonight, don't worry it is only temporary but Leo sure did like seeing "rocky". We had to hide her from a curious June who kept chasing her around the house like she was going to eat her! Leo learned the command "step-up" which is what the bird associates as getting on arms/shoulders. I was surprised how Leo was so willing to hold the bird, not scared at all!

"step-up birdy"

Look at that smile!

Our Morning

Poor Leo woke up with a temp of 102 again so we headed to the doctor after much disagreement from his side. I finally was able to convince him to go with me if he could wear his pajama's to the office, sure why not? All morning his spirits were very low and all he said all morning was "I need you, hold you" so I knew he wasn't feeling well.

Walking into the clinic I was carrying both of them in my arms and I had to smile at myself when this older couple asked if they could help by carrying one of them for me, now that would be a sight.

Waiting

I should be getting a call any moment that his prescription is done but he fell asleep on the way home so he is snoring away in his bed right now. Lily was a good little helper in the visit by "yelling" at the doctor as Leo was screaming his lungs out as he was checking his ears and throat, protective lil sis!

We will see what the afternoon brings but as of right now both babies are asleep resting away...

Hello 2013!

The kids were sick for the new year so it was a family affair kind of evening with grumpy kids and snow outside. It was actually wonderful spending a snowy evening at home wrapped in blankets and watching movies. Those same activities rolled over to today and we relaxed all day hoping that their colds disappear, by the end of the day I could tell they were feeling better and we were able to enjoy the afternoon playing with toys and watching Avengers and Brave. A great start to the year!
No I will not take a picture with you.

Bringing in the new year playing blocks with Dad
Trying to get something she shouldn't, I'm sure.

What is a lazy day without his new train table?

Happy New Year!
