I had the honor of being my cousin Mariah's confirmation sponsor and Tuesday was the ceremony. Bishop Jackels gave a wonderful homily towards the confirmation group on saying yes to Jesus' life path for you. Now at 17 I remember not taking my confirmation as seriously as I probably should have but now that I am (somewhat) grown his speech really was powerful to me. Life can be filled with hard decisions but it is hoped that you are always saying yes to Jesus plan for you. You really need to experience what life gives you before you know what path you are suppose to take but I think deep down everyone knows what is right. I truly believe I was always meant to be a wife and mother and now that I am one I have no doubt that it was what I was suppose to do with my life. Now that I have children of my own I am very proud to say that I try to put Christ in their daily lives and I hope they see that. I felt honored that Mariah thought of me to help her with this Journey and I pray it is an easy one for her!
