Home Improvement

With just moving into the house we have been doing alot of working inside and out to clean and spruce up the place. Leo has been such a big helper on everything! He is very handy with a "srewfipher" loves to mow and as of late he is very big on watering all of our plants! What would we do without our big helper!?

A Boy can dream!

He thought we needed lots of flowers!

This was at Grandmas but still very helpful!

...and at the end of the day we must play!

Before I was a Mom

Before I was a Mom -
I slept as late as I wanted and never worried about how late I got into bed. I brushed my hair and my teeth everyday.

Before I was a Mom -
I cleaned my house each day. I never tripped over toys or forgot words to a lullaby. I didn't worry whether or not my plants were poisonous. I never thought about immunizations.

Before I was a Mom -
I had never been puked on - Pooped on - Spit on - Chewed on, or Peed on. I had complete control of my mind and My thoughts. I slept all night.

Before I was a Mom -
I never held down a screaming child so that doctors could do tests...or give shots. I never looked into teary eyes and cried. I never got gloriously happy over a simple grin. I never sat up late hours at night watching a baby sleep.

Before I was a Mom -
I never held a sleeping baby just because I didn't want to put it down. I never felt my heart break into a million pieces when I couldn't stop the hurt. I never knew that something so small could affect my life
so much. I never knew that I could love someone so much. I never knew I would love being a Mom.

Before I was a Mom -
I didn't know the feeling of having my heart outside my body. I didn't know how special it could feel to feed a hungry baby. I didn't know that bond between a mother and her child. I didn't know that something so small could make me feel so important.

Before I was a Mom -
I had never gotten up in the middle of the night every 10 minutes to make sure all was okay. I had never known The warmth, The joy, The love, The heartache, The wonderment or the satisfaction of being a Mom. I didn't know I was capable of feeling so much before I was a Mom.

Mother Day was wonderful! We went to church as a family with my mom, had a family lunch with Mike's mom, spent the afternoon at  the Botanica Gardens and then finally had a dinner at Genghis Grill. Mike went out of his way to make the afternoon special and I really enjoyed all the memories we made having Leo and Lily play in all the flowers! Being a mom has been the best gift ever given to me and I truly feel blessed to have the two most amazing babies!

"Today was Good. Today was Fun. Tomorrow will be another one"- Dr. Seuss

Leosaurus

Our little dinosaur was hungry for some ice cream! The driver got a kick out of Leo's costume, Leo thinks that this costume is everyday apparel so he was confused why everyone was laughing. Fun memories of raising a boy!

He also decided to visit Mike at work in the costume...we used the excuse that "we heard the clinic's treated dinosaurs" All was cured with a sucker!
Leo Loves his "saur" costume!

Waiting to be seen, killing time with coloring!

Thanks God-Mama Sharon for this wonderful costume that Leo wears everyday but Halloween!
 He is so much fun!

Moving

This past month we moved out of our rental house and into a house next to the clinic. It has been amazing being so close to Mike's work! It took a few days for Leo to adjust and realize we were in a different place and that he couldn't just follow daddy to work(yes he tried). We are hoping our renting days are over and that we can really concentrate on saving for a house in the next year. Fingers crossed!

She thought we built her a castle!

EEK! Alot of stuff to move!

He was helping Daddy put together is new toy.

Unpacking

Helping Pap-pa fix the porch!

First sleepover at the new house!

Popcorn a bed time tradition

Lily wanted some too and Leo was "protecting" it

We had to use this mini-fridge for the first week until we bought a  new full size one!
It held
Milk
Diet coke
water
Jelly
applesauce
(Daddy's drinks too)
It taught us what we thought was important, haha.
Now we are almost settled in and things are getting back to a routine so life should get back to normal soon. The house has been empty for a year so we had alot of work to do when we first moved in cleaning mainly and organizing our belongings. The babies share a room now but it is a good size room and it hold both beds with room to play so it works for me! We are adjusting to having carpet again instead of hard wood..mainly Leo can't walk around with his food as much or naked like he likes...too many potty accidents! We are working on the potty training though!

bubbles!

Leo is obsessed with bubbles! He could blow bubbles and chase them all day!

9 months old

Our little Lily is 9 months old! Talking, Laughing and always smiling she is a busy girl.
We went to the doctor for her check up and they all love her! They refer to her as the "praying baby" because she always has her hands clasped together like she is saying a prayer. She is a laid back baby who hasn't decided to crawl yet but she will get there, we aren't in any rush...Leo keeps us busy chasing him still.
She loves standing!
9 month Stats
Weight 17.4 lbs
Height 27 inches

I can tell she is getting another tooth soon! She has started her "finger popping" sounds that she did right before the first two popped up. She has found her feet and loves playing with them when she doesn't have her hands in her mouth! We have started giving her real food but she acts like everything is so tart that it hasn't been too successful yet. She does like pears, sweet potatoes and the little gerber puffs she can chew on.
Pardon how she looks like a boy in this picture!
Lily saying "dada" has to be the cutest thing I have ever heard. She says is so sweet and soft it literally almost makes you tear up! Leo loves to "teach" her words like we do, it is funny to watch how he gets in her face and says "E say mama mama mama" she just laughs at him! They are really interacting these days and it is so precious to watch them begin to play with one another. Lily really cracks up when He is acting funny. I love to be in another room and hear Leo talking to Lily and her "talking" back..I wonder the little secrets he tell her...

Feeding his sister!

He loves pushing her

"secrets"
Lily is very much a Daddy's Girl he spoils her like crazy and it is very sweet to watch him interact with her. He can be across the room and she will scrunch her nose with her big smile and gasp with happiness and the sight of him! Adorable.

Lily also does the funny thing of acting surprised when you talk with her! She stretches her body out and goes "ah!" with the best expression, such personality!
Shocked!

Happy 9 month to my little sunshine!

Life is Good

The babies have kept us busy lately! Lily is an entire different baby lately! Instead of crying when Leo is having a terrible two's episode she has started "yelling" back at him. She is pulling up on all fours but no signs of crawling yet. The best of it all she has started saying  "dada" she sounds so cute, she officially said it April 28th and it was literally like a scene from a movie, I looked away from her for a sec and heard "dada" looked back at her in pure amazement and called for Mike to come over and wait for her to say it again! It was like we were  new parents all over again.

Lily moments after saying "dada"
Leo is a big goofball lately making his own "jokes" and laughing at himself. His favorite right now is when you ask him what a "horsie" says he replies "moo" in a very deep voice! So hilarious. When we "sing" to Lily he has to stop halfway through every song going "no no no count?" so we must count to 10 and then say "yey!" he then immediately goes into "A, B, C, D..."

Silly Monkey!

What I am telling myself today

The cleaning and scrubbing will wait till tomorrow,
For children grow up, I’ve learned to my sorrow.
So quiet down, cobwebs. Dust go to sleep.
I’m rocking my baby and babies don’t keep.
