Mr. Polite

Leo has always been very good with his manners but lately he has been right on the ball with his "please and thank you"..or more often then not "no thank you"

"Leo would you like _____ to drink or eat" in which he always responds "Oh yes please!" Yesterday Mike (jokingly) says "Leo do you want to go to Olive Garden?" Leo started jumping up and down "Yes Please! Yes Please Daddy!" too funny!

Potting training and naps/bedtime are filled with alot of "no thanks yous" but that is expected.

My favorite thing Leo is doing right now (just because he sounds so cute) but whenever he burps, even if you don't hear it, he always looks over at you smiles and says "scuse me hahahaha" it seriously is the cutest thing.

He always says thank you when you hand him items which I find especially cute.

Waiting for Popcorn, yum!

Overall Leo has just been so adorable lately with all the things that have been coming out of his mouth! Some are maybe TMI but they are too funny not to share, for example, Leo was going to bed last night and he was a little lets say...gassy and out of no where he just starts laughing hysterically saying "gas is coming out of my bottom!" I giggled all the way out into the living room.

Out of the blue he will tell me he's "gotta go" and runs to get the keys and heads out the door which is very quickly followed by him coming right back in sayings "it's cold out there!" We did buy him a Thomas hat that he loves!

"I can't get my Cheetos Mama"

He loves to "cook an egg" every morning, if he actually eats it well that is rare.

"I need two!"

"I do it"

Leo always so softly "sshhhs" Lily when she is upset and he has started to rub her back while he does it.

When I get in the shower every morning within seconds he still pulls the curtain back "are you done in there!?"

This is how he decided to take his nap one day

"What Powder?"

When Mike gets home from work it is usually followed by Leo asking "What are we doing tonight Daddy?"

For several months now (and it has really stuck) when he doesn't want to do something anymore he has to tell us "I don't want to go to bed "anymo" "I don't want diaper anymo" etc...and  he uses his "anymo" with everything. "I don't want daddy's game anymo" which means Mike's TV show haha!

He likes to play this sleep/wake up game where he covers himself up in blankets and "snores" followed by him immediately popping up "I'm awake!"

Thomas, Percy and James trains are played with on a daily basis

Trains, Trains, Trains

He caught me taking his picture!

Dinosaur Hunting!

Coloring at Grandmas with "benden"

Mad that the make up wouldn't wash off easily

He loves messing with my makeup and somehow always gets mascara all over himself but at the same time hands it to me asking me "on your face?"

He has for awhile now but it still amazes me that he can dress and undress himself completely on his own and put on his shoes and socks alone also! (His shoes are all still velcro)

Shrek is still playing on a daily basis...it looks like his birthday party with be Shrek or Toy Story, we will see come March!

Wanted to take a picture for Mama...

Didn't want to take a picture for Mama...
He is growing so fast!!

Leo would say "cary!"

Being funny!

Trick or Treat

Ready to go at 2 in the afternoon ( a little early so I let him walk around our  house to warm up)

We stopped by my Granddads first where they all saw how Pretty (but somewhat grumpy) Lily was!
Leo fell asleep in the car so we let him sleep (with Mike in the car supervising) while Lily and I visited.

"Why so you keep handing me this bucket!?"

"I don't see any candy?"

She loves standing!

Mike decided to make cookies before heading out to collect candy

"Are you ready Lily?"...
Lily actually fell asleep 2 houses in so Mike took her back to Grandma's while Leo and I finished our route

Uncle Steve and Brenden did role reversals for Halloween

Leo was all ready for candy...

Until he realized he had to talk to strangers, He became SUPER shy and made this face at every house!

So Mommy ended up saying trick or treat a few times...

Then he got the hang of it and was a candy pro!

He snuck a sucker on the way back to Grandma's...

JackPot!

Guarding their stash from the others...

Trying to sneak candy from Noah's stash

Lily woke up from her slumber and Daddy thought she needed walking lessons, Miss Tip Toes.

Eating Candy when we got home with Mommy's costume hat.

Relaxing after a full night of fun!

Grocery Shopping

Grocery shopping with Leo and Lily is always somewhat of a challenge between Leo wanting to walk everywhere and having a donut along with any other merchandise the store is promoting at the time but Dillons started having two seater carts and that has saved alot of time! Leo still gets in and out but he does enjoy sitting next to Lily instead of in the cart squished with all the food. Oh the little things that make life easier!

Lily is telling Leo to stay in the cart by putting her hand on his arm.

Grateful

Lily has been very busy lately she has been getting teeth in left and right (just as I predicted would happen around 15 months) and now she is FINALLY a crawler! I truly believe she was able to do months ago but why would she have to when she has big brother Leo fetching her all her toys? She is now on the move all of her waking hours so it is time to baby proof the house again even though with how adventuresome Leo is we have our house pretty "proofed" already. The fastest I saw her crawl was yesterday when I started Leo's bath, she was in the living room and the next thing I knew she was pulling up on the tub!

She saw something she wanted...

So she was off to get it!

Speaking of baths Leo is very independent and has to do all his washing himself ( or so he thinks) including his hair, I tell him to rinse out his hair and he always ends up splashing water just in his face! I laughed a little and he must have liked the attention because he kept doing it over and over laughing at himself splashing water up his noise and his mouth over and over, silly boy!

Leo has really become such a little man lately, he amazes me with how clearly he is speaking (and repeating) and all the things he is learning. He is OBSESSED with trains still and still announces to the entire house when he hears one "Hear that whistle!" he says running around the house. Playing outside has been a dream the last month or so with the fall weather rolling in and we have enjoyed many evenings on the porch while he plays around with his soccer ball, car or whatever he finds interesting...like this poor squirrel that is always nut hunting by our trees.

Even super hero's play soccer...

Lily wakes up every morning saying "UM" I am not sure if she is telling me she is hungry by trying to say "yum" or if she is like "UM Mom come in here and get me!" but it so funny to hear her from afar muttering "um, um, um, mom"

Bedtime has become easier since we set a time for them to go to sleep (at the same time) we use to put Lily to sleep and then put  Leo to sleep later but it was just interrupting Lily sleeping and we would have to start the whole process over. So now they just have to suffer it together which usually ends up with Leo in Lily's crib telling her "shh it's alright" and think just a year ago we couldn't keep him in his crib! Some night's he must be too tired to console her because I will hear him "Lily crying, come get her!" They are really cute together when they fall asleep side by side though.

When Lily wakes up in the morning or from a nap Leo always says "Good morning Lily!"
Pulling up!

Such a wonderful smile!

Eating dinner before Daddy got home

"Shrek" and "Puss in Boots" is still played on a daily basis, they are good to pop on to put him down for a nap!

When it starts to get dark right before Mike get's off work Leo will come to tell me "Sit on porch and wait for Daddy" so he goes outside and sits and waits for Mike to walk over from work, adorable.

We have really needed to tell Leo to stop sneaking June food, I swear she is eating like 5 meals a day. I have started to tune in to when He is about to feed her because I hear "Dune come get it, right here" and I then find him pointing to his dropped food in the kitchen. She eats it right up!

One of my favorite pictures right now

Smelling a leaf!

Leo also thinks every grocery store is called "Dillons" since that is where we go most often but the other day we were walking into Walmart and he felt like shouting to everyone that he was at Dillons getting a donut. Well he did get a donut so he was right about that, haha.

I am really enjoying this time lately with Leo and Lily they are becoming more and more playmates and Leo is growing so fast and I am very grateful I get to be at home with them and see it all happen!

He was running away laughing when I took this picture..
he thought he was so funny putting the basket on her head!
