Sleepover

For the past month we have had our nephew Brenden spend the night a few times for fun filled sleepovers! Leo loves it. Now that he has his big bed the both just sleep in his room after a filled night of dancing, reading and chasing all the animals! The past week was my favorite I think because they both were such hams for the camera shouting cheese!!

love this!

Breakfast!

I love how the two of them are creating such great memories! oh the fun years ahead :)

Becoming Closer to God

Baptizing my children is one of the most special things that I can do for them. Faith in God is very important to me and the day of their baptisms always seem so amazing. Leo smiled for the first time at his and Lily was also a smiling machine! My favorite is when they smile as Father is blessing them. I really feel The Lord's presence during events like these. Here are some pictures of the wonderful day!

Lovely Godparents

This Gown was worn by all my aunts and me and now Lily! So neat.

Distractions and all the words that come with it.

Distractions are key in the life of Leo. He understands the word "no" but he is very stubborn so when we need him to stop doing something or change the direction of his behavior our new mission is to distract him with asking him questions..."where are your eyes, teeth, ears, belly button"  etc..

The main time we need to do this:

  •  Hair pulling which in no way is it a good situation, he latches on and holds on for deer life!! So lets hope these distractions keep on doing their job!
  • Buckling him in his carseat -He actually doesn't fight us on going into the seat it is the act of buckling he thinks he has to do the actual buckling part which is cute but very time consuming.
  • Lily -Like I have said before he has been a very good big brother but sometimes his love is a little overwhelming for Lily and his kisses and hugs turn into suffocating her and not letting go. He just loves her so much!
  • Pulling the animals tails -Who knows why he loves to do this!
In other parts of Leo's life he is excelling very well! He talks up a storm now and is a very busy bee with all his toys and books. That boy loves to read! He also gets super excited when we count to 10, the closer you get to the number 10 the more excited he gets and when we are done he claps and yells "yey!"

A list of the top words we hear him say:

CAR-about a million times a day lol
Lily or "eee"
Dad-DEE The end of daddy is very much enthusiastic
Mommy or when he is tired "Mama" of course my Favorite!
Teeth- "tee" this also means toothbrush.
Cracker "crackER"
Cookie "cooookkiieee" He likes to add lots of "o's" to cookie.
More "mo"
Water "wa-er" He even calls milk "wa-er" most of the time but when he says milk he has to say it with "mo" so it always comes out sounding like "mo-mil"
Dog "daa" When the dogs bark he always perks up and goes "oh daa" in a very deep voice. so cute.
Cat "ca"
All Done "alll"
Bye-Bye "byyyee Byyyee"
Hi "hi" very quick and short sounding I might add.
He says eye, nose and mouth pretty clear and when you ask where is mouth is he always sticks out his tongue!
Cheese "chheeesssee" both the food and for the camera of course
Thanks "danks"
Book "Buke"
Chicken "chick a chick a chick" with a little wiggle.
Tickle "ticka ticka ticka" always to Lily's feet!
Uh-Oh
Bite "bi" hungry boy!
He also repeats almost anything we say now so we have reminded ourselves to be extra careful in the words we say and the tone. He picks up on everything, smart kid.

The Love of Siblings

I love watching Leo and Lily become closer and closer each day. I know they are only little babies but I already see a true bond blooming. Leo calls her "eee" he loves tickling her feet and reading her books. He is so adorable when he gives her a "bopple" which means both bottle and pacifier in his toddler language. When we leave the house he is so funny when he tries to pick up Lily in the car seat and grab the diaper bag! so priceless. They are only 16 months apart so I know my future holds a love/hate relationship between these two but honestly I have no regrets I absolutely love having them so close.

At her week old check up...He had to make sure everything was going correctly

Long Day!

Tickle Tickle Tickle!

Peek a boo!

Story Time!

Pacifier anyone?

awe...melts my heart

Our Little Lily

Everyday I love her more and more! I can't believe she is already 2 1/2 months old. She is turning into a bubbly smiley baby that brightens my day just by being there. I have noticed a few times when she is upset and squirming around in her bouncy if Leo comes and sits by her she immediately calms down. So cute! Leo loves to "feed" her and he actually is a really big little helper even though he is only 19 months old himself.

No Biting

If it was only that easy! Leo is really teething right now and therefore he is a biting monster!! He isn't mean about it he just bites at everything, Clothes, hair, nails, stuffed animals, car seats and unfortunately Lily :( We still love him and find him incredibly cute even through this biting phase which lets pray ends soon!

Here is another fun memory that we will want to keep, putting Leo down for a nap right now is like putting the tazmanian devil down for one...He really fought sleep after I shut him in his room this afternoon and this is what I opened to find...naps are wasted on the young!

Tornado Leo

We still think he's pretty cute

Zoo

We took the kids to the zoo last month and I absolutely love taking Leo to the zoo! For only being 18 months old he has gone several times and it seems like each visit is a whole new experience for him. He went to the petting zoo for the first time, he was not at excited as I thought he would be, he even showed a little fear of the animals which is very unlike him. Mike helped him feed the sheep and by the end of it he thought it was pretty cool. Lily just relaxed in her stroller but it will be no time before she is joining in on the fun!

Leo was not sure about this...

Lily's Newborn Pictures

A friend of a friend is a photographer and I really love her props so I took Miss Lily out to get her pictures done and even though some are a little ridiculous looking I think they turned out super cute and hey it was fun!  The First few pictures we took ourselves one afternoon and the one of Leo and Lily just melts my heart every time!
